I’m telling my story now, out loud and on purpose—because I’ve carried the weight of shame that wasn’t mine. I’ve protected people who never protected me. I’ve covered for abusers, smiled through family dysfunction, and played small for the sake of keeping the image clean. But now? I’m choosing me. My peace. My healing. My freedom.
